Child-friendly holiday to Paris

Paris is one of the world’s most popular destinations for couples. It is one of the most romantic towns in the world, being a perfect honeymoon destination. But what if someone would like to visit Paris with children? The town isn’t the perfect choice just for couples, it also has a family-friendly side. There are spectacular and numerous things to do and to see for kids here. Besides some historic attractions that children would also enjoy to visit, there are numerous pony rides, carousels  and marionette theaters in the town. If you would like to combine fun with entertainment, you can also visit child-friendly museum, science museum or botanic garden. As you can see, Paris is also the perfect choice for family vacations.

 

Disneyland

 

Disneyland is actually a holiday and recreation resort which is situated in Marne-la-Vallée, a new town of Paris. It is located about 32 km from the centre of the town. Disneyland includes two theme parks, offering dining and entertainment possibilities and seven hotels owned by Disney. Established on the 12th of April 1992, it was the second Disney resort to open outside the United States of America. It is the perfect place for both children and adults, as there are so many attractions that keep everyone amused. From Fantasyland and Frontierland to the Pirates of the Caribbean and the Toon Studio, Disneyland is full of amazing attractions. For example, in Fantasyland, visitors can immerse themselves in the fairytales that inspired Disney’s classic animated films. There are fantastic attractions here, such as the Sleeping Beauty Castle. Frontierland is another gorgeous place inside Disneyland where visitors can adventure through the legends of the Wild West. For younger children, there’s a spectacular attraction, the Pocahontas Indian Village. Just a few steps from Disneyland Park are the Walt Disney Studios, where visitors get a glimpse into the fantastic world of cinema and television. It is surely a great day out for the whole family.

Playgrounds

 

As I mentioned, there are several pony rides and carousels  in the Jardin du Luxembourg and you can find marionette theaters all over the town.  The Tuileries Gardens are another favorite place of little children. The gardens are open during the summer months and offer the traditional carnival features such as a merry-go-round, ferris wheel, cotton candy and other games. Another gorgeous attraction for young children is the playground of Parc Monceau’s  which can be found in the Jardin d’Acclimmatation. This is an amusement park located in the Bois de Boulogne. There is a fantastic playground there and a museum dedicated to the toddlers.

Combining fun and education

 

If someone would like to combine fun and education, Paris is the right choice! The Parc de la Villette contains a fantastic kid-friendly science museum. The Jardin des Plantes is a fantastic zoo situated nearby the Seine. Another amazing attraction is the Cite de Science which is also a lot of fun for children and adults at the same time. The Museum of Natural History consists of several museums, being located closely to Gare d’Austerlitz. There are numerous things to see there, including the fantastic Hall of Evolution. Not far from the museum complex there is the Arene de Lutece, one of the most original arenas which were built by the Romans.
