Strasbourg Christmas Market

As one of the largest Christmas markets of France, Strasbourg Christmas Market is held in front of the beautiful cathedral. Besides the stalls, visit La Petite France which is a cosy neighborhood of the city, filled of timbered fairy-tale buildings. La Petite France offers Christmas shops and even a gingerbread bakery around Christmas. The market is open between the 30th of November and the 31st of December. (November 2013)

Lille Christmas Market

Northern France’s largest Christmas market is the one held in Lille. It has been a tradition in the city for centuries. The market is held in the Place Rihour, in the town centre. It will occur between the 20th of November and 30th of December. (November 2013) The market offers more than 50 stalls which present a large variety of local products and unique gifts.

Amiens Christmas Market

Another city which hosts a large Christmas market in Northern France is Amiens. This market is different in comparison to other, as visitors can purchase fine crystal and hand-made glass, Angora sweaters and even fresh fish. Chartres Christmas Market
