Well, I tell you, it will be a very hard task, as there are thousands of visitor attractions in France and all of them are worth-visiting sights. In order to help you make a good decision and visit the most fascinating attractions of the country, I will write an article including the top 5 most popular sights in France. These sights are the following: Disneyland Paris, the Louvre Museum, the Eiffel Tower, Centre Georges Pompidou and the Palace of Versailles. I suggest you to visit as many as you can. These sights surely make everyone’s holiday an unforgettable experience.

Disneyland Paris

With about 14.5 million visitors yearly, Disneyland Paris is the most visited attraction of the country. It is a fantastic entertainment resort located about 32 km east of the capital city, Paris. The resort includes the Disneyland Park and the Walt Disney Studios Park. Besides, it is home to numerous excellent hotels. With dozens of rides and attractions, Disneyland Paris is a dream destination for both children and adults.

The Louvre Museum

The world famous Louvre Museum attracts about 8.3 million visitors every year which makes it the second most popular tourist attraction of the country. The museum is a must-visit, especially for the lovers of art. Located in Paris, it is one of the world’s largest and best-known museums. It includes an immense collection of thousands of paintings, antiquities, sculptures, drawings, ceramics and other objects.

The Eiffel Tower

The best-known and most recognizable symbol of Paris and perhaps of the entire country is the gigantic Eiffel Tower which drags about 7 million visitors every year. The monument is also the most photographed landmark of Paris. Almost everyone who visits Paris makes a photo at the monument. It offers three levels for its visitors and great restaurants. You shouldn’t miss this iron structure.

Centre Georges Pompidou

Besides the famous Louvre, the Centre Georges Pompidou welcomes about 5.5 million visitors yearly. The complex is situated in Paris and houses Europe’s largest museum for modern art – the Musée National d’Art Moderne, a centre for acoustic and music research and a vast library. It is the fourth most visited sight of the entire country.

The Palace of Versailles

The breathtaking Palace of Versailles is on the 5th place in terms of the number of visitors which reaches about 5.3 million each year. Situated in the commune with the same name, the palace used to serve as a royal chateau of Louis XIV. The richly decorated building and its gardens are extremely attractive for visitors. Both are inscribed on the list of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites.
